We don’t care about your podcast.

We just care about you.
If you’re like most of us, you’ve been led to believe that doing ministry means it all rests on your shoulders. It means being on-call 24/7 and no days off (or feeling guilty when you take one). And what’s the answer when you’re lonely and exhausted? Just work harder.

We’ve been there—and that’s why we’re here.

Hey, we’re the Beaches! And after years of doing ministry the wrong way, we burned out. Hard. We realized if we kept going the way we were, we’d lose our marriage. Our family. Everything.

We started The Rock and The River to make sure no one ever walks in ministry alone. Since then, we’ve dedicated our lives to helping church leaders feel more connected to their purpose than ever.

I wish I had experienced Three Rocks Retreat before ever starting in ministry. Most of us only realize we need help after burning out but the Three Rocks Retreat walks you through disciplines to prevent burnout and equips you to lead in a healthy way. Whether you’ve been in ministry one year or fifteen years, this retreat is what your soul needs.

I attended the Three Rocks Retreat with Rock and the River and left with a new energy. I came in not knowing what to expect but I came out with new friends and a network of people that will pour into me and allow me to pour into them. A pastor’s life can be difficult because we are always trying to help and be there for others. If we are not allowing others to pour into us then our tank can run empty pretty fast. These lessons and a lot of self revelation were gained on this three day trip and I would recommend this for new pastors, well established pastors and everyone in between. Three days to change the way you approach ministry and life for the better.
